Big tracks = blown up motors and lower car counts

it's a shame that lawrenceburg people didn't realize this before they built the track. also, go to any track and ask the drivers what kind of track they want. not just the top 3, but the guys that run mid pack. if it's a drivers track instead of a hp track, i bet you'll get more cars and crowd. good luck

sorry kevin but track was open in early 90s tim helton was the builder and owner it was a high bank track as you said , we won 3 mod features there the first year it was opened, they tried running winged sprints didnt go very well, tim had dale dubois come in and cut banking done to what it is now, ray godsey and family (bought it leased it ?) ran it for a year, then it closed, tim then went and built the track at cacterack falls, it lasted two years also, wish them luck they are gonna need it road into track not very wide for the rigs that most people use now also not alot of parking,

early 90's late 90's, guess time flies when you are racing 25+ years in 3 states,
you got all names right tho, I just didn't want to post other gentlemans names due to the direction that the track went, all men were great characters and tried very hard.......

Went and looked at the satellite image. It kind of looked like the Loch Ness Monster in the North end of the pond.

That track cataract was awesome. I met dick gaines there. Also watched stewart buehl and tony george battle it out in legends. That was the same night a hefty track worker slid down the backstretch about five times while watering the place.

Car counts are falling fans in the stands are becoming less and less...Not trying to be a real buzz kill here but I would tell the investors to hang on to their money .....someday they will be old and need that money....If you love the sport that much buy a camper follow some shows and sweeten the pot once in the while and sleep good at night without the head aches ....Support the good tracks we have now ,they could all use our support to survive.....
