To those griping about the wing cars running the same nite as USAC at port (or anywhere else) the answer is simple and it is usually the answer to most questions......money! Obviously the promotor feels he can stand a better chance with both.

I can see your point, but for me its about a 5 hr. drive to Central Pa. tracks, so I like "more bang for the buck". I've been to Pa. Speedweek lots of times, only once to Eastern Storm (too many rainouts), & its cool to see some variety. USAC/ARDC midget week is great too, especially at little Path Valley. I hear even smaller Lanco was awesome last year, but had to miss it.
If naysayers are right about track conditions, I'll find out....

Port Royal hasn't given USAC a good track since Darland won and even that wasn't the best. It's been a typical winged Central PA type track surface, packed down (no cushion) with push cars/trucks. Now they're going to put winged 410's on it to slick it over even more. Some of you are saying they do both divisions at Eldora, but Port Royal isn't Eldora, it doesn't have the banking or the shape of Eldora, so it will be low, slow & single file for the non wingers. David is right. Central PA has 100 plus races with wings a season, why can't they just give the non wing their own night once a year? If they want the local weekly fans to have interest, maybe they should pony up bonus dollars for the locals to take the tin off & show their talents. Nor-Cal winged guys take the tin off when CRA comes to their tracks, why can't the Posse do the same?
