Hey Dave is someone hauling your broken butt up the stairs Sunday night?

Leave it alone!

The only thing I might change is add Terre Haulte for a finally on a sunday afternoon.

If any racetrack deserves two races during Sprintweek, it's Kokomo. The racing is the best in the state, Haubstadt included. Unless you like slide jobs and crossovers, one after another, for 30 laps straight.
I agree with the people who've posted something about trying to keep the dates in some sort of geographical order. I even think you could get half of the tracks on their normal nights, like this:

Wed: Lawrenceburg
Thurs: N. Vernon
Fri: Bloomington
Sat: Haubstadt
Sun (Day show): Terre Haute
Mon: Off
Tues: Off
Wed: Paragon/Putnamville
Thurs: Liberty
Fri: Gas City
Sat: Kamp
Sun: Kokomo

About sprint week being tough on drivers and crew members... I wrenched on Brian Hayden's sprint car when he was still driving. Yeah... you're right sprint week is tough but if you know how to manage your time... you'll be just fine.

For the most part... we had a 2 man team. Brian and myself did all the maintenance on the cars. We worked when we needed too, thrashed after the crashes, and slept when we could.

The bottomline is sprint week is the biggest and best part of the Indiana sprint car season and to expand it only makes sense.

I say make them all 2 day events for Indiana sprint week. 10 days and the 5 highest bidding Indiana race tracks get the bookings. But my preference would be Lawrenceburg, Gas City, Terre Haute, Bloomington with Haubstaut the final two nights.:thumb

Kevin, The long road to getting healthy became a little shorter last night. It was great to see not only you but all the other great folks that I was able to chat with.

I am already looking forward to going to Boswell for the first time.

One thing D.O. mentioned in his suggestion that everyone has let slip by is a "thank you" picnic/party sponsored by the fans of ISW to honor the drivers and crews. Let's give them a well deserved day of rest, a plate full of healthy Indiana food (something deep fried with biscuits and apple butter), a cold beverage, a soft folding chair, and a pat on the back from us fans for all their hard work. i know it will be more time out of their busy schedule, but everyone deserves a little :applaud:at times. count HARF in as an early sponsor of this great idea. DO, one of the greatest things you do during your "race fests" is to have all the drivers and cars in the infield and to let the "fans" meet the drivers and see the cars up close. seeing the smiles on the kids faces (some of the kids aged 55) only helps grow our favorite sport. sometimes the only way we know our favorite driver is the color of his helmet and number on a car as they race by. personalize our great sprint car drivers and i know the sport grows, that's why our Banquet is sold out every year. bob.:checkered:
