Contiuned Prayers. I herd from a very reliable source last night that Jeff's injurys are far worse than this thread leads people to beleive. Don't want to mess up any details by giving them 2nd hand, but it sounds like Jeff is on a very long and painful road to recovery.
You can find the real details at www.shorttrackthunder.com under the race talk thread.. It sounds like it will be a very painful road to recovery that Jeff and family will need lots of support thru.. The good news in this whole thing.. Jeff is still available to have to go down a long road to recovery.. Fire is a nasty thing.. It was almost in the same place on the track that Johnny Benson had his problemms.
Hope you are back to yourself soon Jeff.

What's sad is that we are still having this discussion about fighting methanol fires in 2012. It should be one of the most important discussions that promoters, sanctioning groups, and drivers have: to make sure that they are competing at tracks with competent rescue crews. Some of these guys & gals, although they may be first-rate firefighters, have never even removed a quick-release steering wheel, been shown how to shut off a fuel line, or unbelted a driver out of an open-wheel car.
We as competitors need to change that to ensure that we are as best protected as we can be.
Prayers and wishes for a speedy and full recovery to one of our sport's most competitive and just all-around 'good guys'.
I always remember Jack and Rose Calabrase with NAMAR midgets always had the safety crew go car to car and they were shown the fuel shut offs, etc before racing started.
