I believe they reason Ed Kennedy took this Saturday Aug 11th for a rain date is the following weekend is the SOD show with Tony Stewart. I have also heard they are planning on making the track wider for the SOD race on the front. Also this will give them time to prepare for the Earl Gearte classic on Sept 1st that Joe Gaerte and Ed Kennedy is putting on in memory of Joe's dad. Plymouth has there season championship this Friday Aug 10 with USAC Ignite midgets. Also see that Ernie irvan and Davey Hamilton is going to be there for a Meet and Greet autograph session. I just hope Plymouth goes all dirt for 2013. And from the looks from the Pits i would say there is alot of support. Sure miss the old Warsaw track but Plymouth will for sure take it's place.

With the .25 midgets just up the road, the date looks like a good choice. A lot of people will be there wanting to go somewhere.

Thanks to all that are responding. I'm glad there is a lot of passion for this sport.
Someone said that it may affect a few sprint cars and it may also affect a few UMP mods running for points at Hartford. We certainly appreciated the support we got from the Hartford Mods Saturday.
Chris, there is no disrespect from Plymouth to Hartford and we wish for their USAC show to be a success (as I stated earlier). The sprints that were planning on running Hartford aren't going to suddently come to Plymouth, and that also includes the fans.
I want to remind everyone that UMP Mods will be racing for $1000 to win and nonwing minisprints for $750.
Let's stop the criticism too that the track is too small. It's a 1/5 mile with plenty of room for passing. Everyone knows it's a 1/5 mile. Please don't be shocked when you get to the track and see a 1/5 mile dirt track.
If you have questions about rules, please email the track.
Again, hope to see everyone return.

Hear they are moving the front out like the back. I was there to watch the 600's the night USAC pulled out and they had a wide track.

This may be an ignorant question but I haven't been able to find an answer, but I will coming through Saturday 8/11, is their a tire rule for the nw sprints? If it works timing wise, I just might have to stop in and let er eat, thanks.

Looks like it is going to be an awesome day saturday. High in the mid 70's and sunny. Hope everyone passes the word about this saturday's show. To show the owner we want a dirt track back in northern Indiana, The place is very clean, Great Food (try the tenderloins) and the restrooms are very clean. Now if they could but together a littles TRI Track sprint series with Gas City, Kokomo and Plymouth for Sprints that would be great!!
