Track prep was frequent last week at the summer nationals race also. They had about 15-20 minutes of track prep between each class during hot laps, then before the heats, and between each of the 3 mod heats. Then rain showed up on the radar and they tried to rush through the rest of the program. Track ended up being good after they let it be. A lot of fans were not happy with the truck parade, but it was generally forgotten after seeing a good late model feature.
Even though it sounds like they are getting off to a rough start I still wish I was there so I could ***** and complain about it my self. A bad day a the races is still better than a good day a work.
They announced that if Clauson switched cars he would still get the points for TQ but the new car wouldn't have a time with it, putting him on the tail. If he swapped motors, the car itself still had the time and would stay at the front.
