I brought some people with me that go to the races maybe 3-4 times a year. This was their first time this year and I had the keys to the car and we would have been gone after the second caution. But I had the keys. To quote one of them "The lenght of the feature (mods) took away the luster of the nite." They hope there are no mods on sprint week night. I hope there is some time control. They did it during the sprint B main.

so what happens when a sprint car feature has 18 cautions? is that perfectly acceptable?

It wasnt mod week Chris. Do you want to be fair to the support classes or keep people coming back to your race track. Sometimes its an economic decision not a racing decision.

I've seen the Mods put on the best show of the night many times. I've also seen what happened last night many times.

Im not complaining about that. It was what it was.

However, I NEVER WANT TO SEE A SPRINT RACE CALLED ON TIME. EVER AGAIN! PERIOD. If theres four left and four transfer, By all means throw the checkered, But Time? it was only 9:50

Just a few facts from last night:

Sprint B Main (8 laps):
15:11 from drop of green flag to checker

Modified Feature (20 laps):
44:01 from drop of green flag to checker

Also, every B Main at a regular Lawrenceburg show (sprint or modified) is scheduled for 10 laps. At Bloomington Speedway if there is one B Main it is 12 laps, 2 B Mains per class the laps drop to 10.

I saw them boo sprints at Montpeiler before because the sprints were taking too long and the ss werent going to get to run before the curfew. So yes its acceptable depending on what your crowd came to see.
