i think there will be a few cars enter this upcoming week. i saw on twitter where wes mac got a ride and that was back last week and not on the list . sure hope for a full field going to my first little 5 and my first 500 this year!! went to the little 5 last year but the good lord didnt want me to see it since it rained out with a 0% chance of rain

My father and I will be attending are 20th Little 500 this year and we are really looking forward to the race. It is one of our favorite events of the year. This year my Uncle is also coming with us, which is kind of neat because both my father and his brother were lap counters at the Little 500 in 1964 and 1965. My uncle attended Anderson College and he and my father came to watch the race and ended up counting laps on the back stretch. In 1992 we decided to start going to the race and we have been to every one since..We really don't have a favorite, just have tons of respect for everyone in the race, love seeing close racing and good finishes. I saw something in an earlier post that got my attention ...."some good runs in the Florida version of this race"....is there another 500 lap sprint car race run in Florida? What speedway is it at and when is it, that is something we would definitely like to see...I would appreciate any information anyone could provide...

After the Little 500 we go down to the big track to watch the 500...it will be my 42nd and my father's 55th......I love the racing, but the best part of the whole weekend is spending time with my father....I wouldn't trade that for anything.

There have been a couple attempts at long distance sprint car races in the Sunshine State over the years. Most recently was in 2006 I believe when the Florida 400 was held at Desoto Speedway. A host of issues have kept this type of event from happening anywhere but Anderson.
