They didnt cancel because it was not rainning when we started racing. We got all but three heats in before it hit. We have waited the rain out before an finished racing but the radar showed another band of rain coming in behind the first one. If we had of cancelled then people would have been on here complaining about us not running because it wasnt raining.

All you can do is try, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not . It would be a tough job being a promoter with weather forecast and making decisions and tryin not to tick people off.. Can't make everyone happy ;( welcome to Indiana weather

It's tough to make a call like that. Especially when you have commited to racing and you have people at the track.

At around 3:00pm I considered hooking up the trailer and heading out.....then I checked the weather channel and I have to admit they were spot on with their forecast. They showed rain starting again around 6:30 and a couple of nasty storms not long after.

It just looked like one of those days when it could rain anywhere at anytime.

Will we just have a double feature on the next date since our heats were completed?

The Brownstown website says the program was cancelled, I will contact track officials on monday for exact details, but, I suspect this means no makeup feature, save and use your wristband for pit admitance for the MMSA race on May 19th and there will be no pill draw fee for the cars that paid last night.

Check the MMSA website next week for updated information.

Great to see all the new cars out Saturday night at Brownstown. Bloomington and Brownstown on May 18th and 19th will definitely be the place to be with the Lightning (mini) sprints. I agree with nice weather and all cars showing up we should have at least 20 or 25 cars.
