Apparently there are a lot of people who do care who drives the pace car! You see how many people commenting about it! Especially since it's the 100th 500!

Danny
Yeah and I can also see that you have no regard for the owner of this board since he asked nicely to cut the political posts and you went right out there and did it anyway. C'mon show some class.

good choice with AJ. I was fine with the other guy. ***** would have probably had more people tune in just to watch him drive the pace car. political views can be vented on "other topics" on this site as I have learned.

Kind of like the pot calling the kettle black since over half of your last 20 posts have been politically slanted. Sometimes I think some of you are way too full of yourselves. I dont think Bill started this board for you to express your political leanings. Who cares who drives the pace car!
Funny, I was paying attention to the whole thing and when it comes to this board- I don't know or do I give a rat's @$$ what anyone's political leaning is. I love racing. I love Indianapolis. The whole thing gained national attention and it was pretty incredible to show the whole country how the fans helped decide who gets the red carpet in Georgetown, I mean Speedway, I mean Indianapolis. Use this new technology to keep squirrels off the track in the future, for the safety of all the drivers.

Most people on this board are far more concerned with safety and integrity, and integrity is a thing seldom found in ********

***** was picked because of his tv show way before there was even a thought of him MAYBE running to be the Republican candidate. The reason i was told that some people (politions) started a facebook page and had tons of people say they didnt want him to be the driver. Not sticking up for ***** but i wonder how many of the people(FB FANS) that didnt want him to drive the pace car are even race fans? I think the speedway didnt want anything to do with ******** so they got him out of there. Over the years there has been plenty of celebrity people in the pace car!

Danny, Actually it is the 100th year for IMS, not the 100th race. Some World Wars intervened for a few of those years.
