POWRi comes to Indiana in August

That August 14th date at Kokomo would be a nice birthday present to myself.

US 24 is a 600 track, not a good track for anything much bigger, the track is easy on equipment, small, and if I had to guess I know how they pay their 600's, the pay is a little short. I think with USAC and PowrI running there would be very few wanting to run @ US24. Shadyhill is paying $ 2k to win and $ 200.00 to start I think, might have to double check that. I guess a guy could go somewhere else and race with 7 or 8 cars for chump change if they want, but I would rather measure myself against other cars. Money would be nice but if you are racing locally or even with a little travelling you are still going to loose money on the season. Racing is not much differant than any other hobby.

Midgets ran at US 24 last Fall. This is a great midget track, about the same size as Macon and Belleville, IL (POWRi tracks) except without the severe banking. It was $700 to win which is the same as POWRi's third place payout. ARDC, the last time I checked, pays $800 to win and they get 25+ cars for a race. Makes no difference though what kind of track or whatever, here we have 4 midget races in one state on one night.

Hey Don how about we have the sanctioning bodies all check with you before they schedule any races. We wouldnt want you to get upset now would we.

BMARA is also scheduled to race at Wilmot, WI on August 13 and Sun Prairie, WI on August 14.

How much tow money does US 24 pay out?? How much tow money for the race at Montpelier and Mt Lawn?? Does ARDC pay out tow money for non members?
