Best, the three races I got to this year. Two P'viille watching Blake tear up the track to win it all the 4th of Sept. and Gaines on the 25th. Then the last USAC Sprint car show at TH was awesome with a spectacular track.

Worst, Jesse, I had the pleasure of talking to him a few times at THAT.

Best seeing one of the best little 500's i have ever seen!!! Worst was setting at Anderson during the power outage and hearing about Jesse. That guy had just started to really stand out in my mind.

Best thing is that had the pleasure of having Dave Darland join the 39 team and have a bunch of success. And the worst thing was losing our good friend and fellow racer Jessee Hockett

I agree with an earlier post...

Best - Gold Crown midget finale

Worst - Loss of the Rocket & Eldora dust race

Taking into consideration that the death of Jesse Hockett was the worst news possible, for me they happened the same night.
Worst: track prep at THAT and the mind numbing delay.(can't remember what race it was, think it was the Hulman Classic)
Best: the race that followed 3 wide bottom to top and fast.

Many great moments of 2010 have been mentioned in the earlier posts, but not many pavement ones. It was cool to see both of the Swanson brothers (Cody and Tanner) sweep the USAC midget races at ORP! And of course as everyone one else has mentioned, R.I.P. "The Rocket".

I concur that losing Jesse Hockett, the person, let alone the racer has been the lasting negative memory of this season. I received word of it during the power outage at Anderson and wrestled with how to break such news to those in attendance, given the grace period of no electricity. In the end it was addressed and later a moment of silence was taken. But there was a pall over the entire evening.

The best memory had to be in Wisconsin around the bonfire with newly minted Must See Racing series champ Troy Decaire. The Champ had excused himself to answer the call of nature when someone around the circle gave a dead-on coyote call. However it was the return call a moment later that sent the Champ racing back to his spot around the fire!

(Ok, so it was Tim Cox with the second call, but the deed was done...)

The best was being able to make it up from Florida for sprint speed week. The worst was loss of Jesse Hockett. May he rest in peace.

Worst: Getting that text saying Jesse was gone...

Best: Sitting on the four wheeler at the entrance to 3 at Duquoin watching those guys pitch the car in during practice and qualifying.... And trying to help all the guys on pit road during the red flag.
