Thanks for all the info. We're pulling out of Indy at noon tomorrow. We're gonna try to get to the Lewis & Clark sites one day, that was a great tip. I'll say it again, sprints & midgets for three straight nights. It doesn't get much better than that!
Revin: thanks to you also for the various posts about your race. Looks like the weather is gonna be excellent. Hope you have a great weekend! |

At the beginning of the year, this was one of the races that I looked forward to the most. But that's nothing compared to how I'm looking forward to it, now. I saw a lot of great races this year, but none better than the Kevin Doty Memorial. And everybody that was there knows exactly what I'm talking about. Because the crowd was just stunned after the checker fell on that one. One of those where everybody's just standing there, looking around at everybody else, with that "Oh, my God" look on their face. It was such an epic race that words just don't do it justice. Then that was followed up, later in the year, by a POWRI race that was nearly as great. The midgets absolutely kick ass on this track!! And these guys go to great lengths to give them a great surface to run on. I guarantee you, you won't be sorry if you go see this race.
Jerry

I agree with everything Mr. Shaw said in the previous post. I talked with Tammy Gundaker after practice , she said as of 9:00 pm there were 41 midgets pre-entered for the show. She also expected to have a total of 50- 55 be there to race. T-Mez, in Mark Bush's #2 looked very impressive as did Steve Buckwalter. With the weather being as good as it is and the facility being what it is, how much better can it get? Hope they have a great turn out.

Me and a buddy from PA will be there camping beginning tomorrow afternoon around 2pm. Drop by and shoot the breeze, just look for a 5th wheel pulled by a white Dodge truck with PA plates and my Silverado with MO plates. I will be the one with the OU ball cap on and also shooting pics.
