My thoughts Jason. Dave wouldn't say anything like that.

Who cares if the stands are full or not? Who cares if the racing is a bit of a freight train show?

The Nationals have a 50 year tradition, and they have always paid the teams the best purse...if USAC fans would turn out in the numbers seen at Knoxville over the years, they'd likely have a "national" event. And while the Oval Nationals can be seen by some as a "national" event, its purse(12K or so to win) pales when compared to Knoxville(150K to win).

Complain all that you want to, its your right... but you cannot knock the success of Knoxville and the Nationals....You can dislike the racing, but like I said...it's on TV, it's sprint car racing......And how can that be bad?
People wonder why the stands are not filled for WoO events, the simple answer is they raised the prices of tickets too high. 35.00$ is too much for a sprint car race. We used to go to all the WoO races at the local tracks and we would go to the kings royal every year, but it' gotten too expensive with the travel and ticket prices. IMO they really screwed up by not running a lot of the smaller tracks that made them what they were to begin with, I mean come on, no race at the Kings home track.

Number 1, you don't read where someone is getting hurt every week in a winged car like they do in "NON WINGY'S" and Number 2 there wasn't any passing in the Oskaloosa race either. Hockett & Darland started on front row and thats how they finished.

Non wingys are out of controll most of the time, thats why everybody is running into each other like last night at Putnamville.

Are you serious.I would bet you was no where near Iowa this week.I was and even the locals went wild during the non-wing races.Feature race was great battle between Hockett and Darland. There was more passing in the first non-wing heat then all of the monday night wing race. And as far as racers getting hurt all sprints can be dangerous, just ask Brooke Tatnell and Ricky Montgomery both with badly broken legs all in the last week with wings.
