The number that I heard from someone that I would consider a reliable source and also saw that exact same number brought up here on IOW, was $1.4 million.

Thanks Jerry, I know most didn't think it worthy.

My one concern is if they plan to run this entire season or not? Leaving dates up in the air??

I hope USAC don't wait until the last minute to reschedule the sprint week race. I would like it rescheduled at Brownstown or have two nights at THAT.

AS POSTED BY GAYLE KAMP ON ANOTHER BOARD

I just want to clarify this rumor for everyone. Tony Stewart has NEVER made any kind of offer on the speedway. He simply has rented it for practice several times and that's it. Tony and Bob are friends. I have announced many times that Tony buying or even offering to buy the track is only rumor.

Bob and I are just putting some feelers out there in hopes of retiring at some point. Ebay seemed to be a logical place as it is world wide site. I never dreamed anyone would find it so quickly (I only did it on Thursday). It has been taken upon by some to put links not only on here but our message boards as well. I guess they are helping us advertise, so thanks for that.

The track itself is not in Lafayette, Bob and I live in Lafayette and K-Motion is in Lafayette. The Boswell address is on Ebay.

We have enjoyed the track but we feel it is time to at least start thinking about retiring. It may or may not sell quickly. There is however a bid on it and the asking price is a sealed price.

I hope this clarifies some of the questions.

By the way, the feedback score that I was talking about was the buyer, not the seller...
