David,
The picture in the 80's midget section of Tom Bigelow and Steve Kinser is incorrect. After Rich was hurt at terrible hole we had Eddie Leavitt drive for us at the Big E.
Great pics

Cool, thanks Mike. Not sure why I had Kinser written on the back of the photo. I'll edit that. Always enjoyed watching you guys over the years. :thumb

What is really weird - Debbie and I got out some old pix just yesterday and I found a stack of about 150 or so photos form the early seventies to the mid eighties that I took and had forgotten about. Lots of the same cars and drivers that you have on there. Debbie found a few slides that she took at Gary's day at Winchester. Mine are not in the quantity or quality that yours are but great minds must think alike.:wink I don't have a scanner or I would share.

My favorite pic from my stack was from about 15 years ago. We were at a function (can't remember what it was) and Jack Hewitt was a guest. Debbie walked up to get an autograph or talk to him or something and Jack gave her a big ol' kiss! I got lucky and snapped the shot just at the right moment. The look on Debbie's face was priceless.

Again Ovalmeister, you have out done yourself my buddy.
Gregg that's awesome. You need to go get a cheapy scanner and get those pics out there, I'd love to see 'em! We could combine our stash and make a book. :thumb

Bob, do you mean the McDonald's 75? It was a Jack Rich car from Phoenix, AZ.
Just had a 750cc Suzuki in it and went mini sprint racing with it. Fun car, wish I still had it. That was the best handling car I ever drove. Jack Rich makes good stuff.

David, enjoy your new site and wish you all the best in obtaining your Dad's car. Do you have any local tracks in your area that you could talk to the owners about having a 50/50 raffle to promote your cause. You would be surprised how much money you can bring in with 50/50 raffles, espically on special events nights. Set a table up in the concession stand area with some pictures of the car and the story of how you are trying to get the car back in your family. Get some young girls to go through the stands selling tickets and have the track announcer make the public aware of what you are trying to accomplish.

Another thought was you have all ready gotten the word out to IOW members, either set up an account or give out an address where donations can be sent.

Car washes, bake sales, family or community yard sales are all ways to raise money.
Just this week here in Phoenix a young boy raised $1000.00 by running a lemonade stand in his neighborhood. He was raising the money for a childhood cancer prevention group.

Implement some of these ideas and maybe pricey won't be so unattainable. You also may find someone to help sponsor some or all of your effort. Our power ball drawing is up to $150 million on Wed. if I win I'll contact you for an address and amount to bring that car home.

I don't think so. I have a few Stanton/Shuman Radio Shack #75 WoO shots from Eldora though. I'll check my boxes and see about the Indy car. I remember the car but can't remember taking pictures of it.

Thanks for the great ideas Patti, everything helps and adds up! Thousand dollars in lemonade, I need to start a franchise for that, what a deal! If you win that powerball I'll marry you! My wife may have issues with that but we can work through it. :O:
Seriously, thanks for the ideas and hope you liked the site.
