Anderson Speedway FB post

"DAKODA ARMSTRONG WINS THE LITTLE 500"

Nice.

PS - Sadly, it appears this site lost the yearly PR from the Little 500 staff too (or however or whoever posted it here)...that's too bad.

Just saw that about the DQ...some GPS / electronic device / "lap timer" I guess...that sucks.

Musta had it left over from his day's as a development driver in the cheater Roger Penske fold...

I enjoyed the race. A very unique event. Had we known that battle for 2nd was really the battle for the win it woulda been even better. OGara held up Trainor for a long long time.

I'll be the one to say it, track crew is a total crap show. Officials would rather carry on a conversation with push truck driver then send them to push cars. Take 5 laps of caution just to get to a spun car. cudos to Axsom for getting out of his car and pushing it himself! Its 2025, not that hard to get a couple of side by sides. Post them at the track entrance in turn 3. Caution comes out, they go. Splurge just a little bit and 1 can even be turned into a wrecker to help out. Heck you don't even have to buy them. Enough series have them, that they can be rented! IT'S TIME TO FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!!

The DQ- This is why I hate asphalt racing. Tech the cars before the show. Not like they are not on the grounds all day long! You find it, DQ and put alternate in. Or send to tail, don't care, fix the stupid issue. I do give them credit for making the DQ. Yes, I know Tires must be done after the race. If you want to check post-race weight, I am good. All tech completed before victory celebration. Fans go home knowing the winner.

Pit stops. 1 thing asphalt Late Models do right is the pit stops. The do controlled cautions at 75 laps. Cars get 3 laps to pit. When they return to the track, they line up behind cars that do not pit. You line up in the order that you were running. Couple of things with this. maybe we do only 3- laps 125, 250 and 375. You would have to get the cars pushed back off before you started counting laps again. Yes the old schoolers will hate this, but push trucks have always sucked. Lets just fix the problem.

I do love the race, been to over 30 of them in a row. Its time to invest more into the actual race running than the pageantry crap.

The NASCAR virus seems to be quite contagious and the pandemic is growing year to year.

767, really, do you think there was an electronic device in the car pre-post race? Have you ever been on a track surface with cars going by at 40 mph in a line of 30, looks easy, because only a few have ever done it. There is always a lot more to a situation than most have privy to. NASCAR,INDY CAR,500 SPRINT TOUR ect... have proven to be beyond approach when it comes to their knowledge and professionalism, the public and fellow competitors only know that there was a DQ and why, all the other info is between the sanctioning body and the competitor.

Sir yes I HAVE. Many times for that matter. That track crew was an embarrassment! I was there the night the clean up guy was killed. Happened right in front of me. A couple of side by sides lit up fixes most of the on track stuff. The first one goes to the stopped car or accident. The 2nd stops before the scene to direct cars high or low. Would be very easy to stage these on the top side of the track in turn 3. And before you preach safety to me, watch how the big series do it. Once the situation is assessed, they can determine if the rest of the clean up team needs to come out.

On the DQ, I have no idea what happened other than the press release. If something was illegal, and they made the call, I give them credit. I stand behind what I said about teching before the race. It's not like they are pulling motors to be sent out.
