I will agree the Fox bros. are excellent, with Cone/Corry racing, Cummins racing following a close 2nd and 3rd respectfully. JMO:respect:

Left them out because, according to Brad's post a couple weeks ago, that team won't again be active until 2009, if at all.

Over the last two years they were obviously the right answer, no doubt about that.

I am not sure if i should comment on this and I know this is probably going to be taken the wrong way. And dont take this as a oooh feel sorry for anyone. But what constitues a low income racer? Is it a racer who knows if he crashes and bends a frame he is done for the season? Or blows a motor he is done for the year if not longer? So he races very conservitively. Is it a racer who runs tires that are a year old and has who knows, what kind of heat cycles they have been through? Does resources factor in as well (as far as being able to build/ fix parts)? I think there are alot of what people consider low income racers, but then there are ALOT of people that are way below low income racers who struggle to get by every week and get no recognition and probably shouldnt even be in the sport since they cant afford it. However they keep plugging away hoping they get that one opportunity or break. This is just my opinion.

Gotta throw in a plug for my guy, Kyle Robbins. Can't and wouldn't argue about any of the others mentioned here....especially Joss Moffatt.

Don't know if they qualify as "low budget" or not, but Jacob Wilson has impressed the heck out of us this season.

I Agree with AJ 100%! Most of the fans don't realize just how much it does cost to run one night. It's a very tough sport when alot of racers will just about go without food to save enough money to go racing that weekend knowing the payout from the race isn't going to cover their expenses. I understand that it's different if you win but there is only one winner and the payout from 3rd down ususally isn't that great and your competing against 30-50 other cars that are all there for the same reason. To WIN! JMO

No one has mentioned Chase Stockon. They rely on family budget to race. He has quite a record for a young racer. Alot of his equipment is old used parts that were on my cars twenty or thirty years ago. He competes on used tires almost all the time. The quick change gears that broke while leading the first $10000. to win this year were some I ran ten years before I retired. The crashed cars at the end of the season were straightened out so he could finish the season. The engine is about on it's fourth or fifth season. I know there alot of racers in the same boat, but few run as well on this type budget. The one plus he has had is the help from the Gamesters and GRP Chassis. Don't let the paint, lettering, and polish fool you, for they due it all themselves - Chase, Sam Jr., and Laura.

Josh Clemmons has had 1, thats right 1, brand new tire the entire year, and that came from a former low buck racer/car owner himself. The rest are all scrub tires he gets from Pace. He literally has no spare parts, a few here and there but nothing really of substance. He also went to Eldora on his first trip ever and outraced some big names coming all the way from the non-qualifiers into the A.

Back before the Roberts ride came along, I would have said Dickie. He ran stuff that most guys would throw away and still won races.

These days I would have to say that Mitch Wissmiller kind of fits that description.
Definitely low budget, but still manages to win races.

I agree with AJ, any racer who sacrifices everything they have just to make one more race deserves all the respect we can give.
