Dash cars were 4 cylinders only.. at least in the beginning.

The old Busch GN cars with the v6's had a cool sound going down the backstretch at IRP.!!!

The series started in 1973 as the Baby Grand National Racing Association it was also called International Sedan Series before NASCAR Dash Series. Both 4 and 6 cylinder engines were used in the series at different time. I saw them run at Dover in the late 70's as the International Sedan Series.

They did in the early 90's. Changed back to V8's in '95. Dash started as 4's and moved to V6's in later 90's I believe.
