There must be a problem with car counts at the Burg this year. I know they got off to a rocky start with all the delays, but the last couple weeks, without USAC they have been getting only about 20 sprints. Tonight they had 20 cars, 17 started the feature, and after two laps we were down to 13 cars. Putnamville and Paragon have both been getting very good counts this year, and last night Gas City and Bloomington both had 28 cars. All these tracks are still charging $12 versus the Burg at $15. The racing has been marginal at best, but its still the first year on the new track, with tonight dry slick from the heats on. Bland put on a clinic tonight, but he needs some competition. Hope it gets better soon.

You all should be happy with what you have back there. Out here on the left coast it's Perris, Bakersfield or Santa Maria ONLY for good sprint car racing and those shows are 5 to 7 hour drives from Nor Cal. And they don't race every weekend. 30-40 cars and 10-15 bucks to get in! Guys you don't know how good you have got it.......
