This is why I love Tri State Speedway's reserved seats, extra leg room, seat backs and I never have to worry about my seat! We buy the seats each year and they're ours for the year and we buy extra seats so we can bring newbies.if you can't make all the races no problem just call and they will hold a reserve sest for you, best $3 you'll ever spend!

Oh, I had someone cuss me out saying I stole their seat one time. Luckily I had seen them come in when they placed their seats the first time.

I said SIR, Right there are your seats. ONE SECTION DOWN!
Didn't give me so much as a I'm Sorry. Sheesh.

Im also all for, Gates opening before saving, Didn't go this year to Kokomo Sprint Week, But last year, Stands were clear gates closed all day 3 pm open. by four the top six rows were covered.

The only beneficial thing I saw of the blacket taping, was at an Indiana 1/4 mile track last outing.
Our row had a couple long blankets on the end of the aisle. The folks sitting there were constantly making beer trips and standing up. They were friendly enough as they asked us 5-6 times if we wanted a beer. Which we were more interested in racing rather than getting tanked. At least they weren't climbing over us every five minutes.
I am guessing they never saw 10 laps of racing.
I think the whole blanket thing is foolishness also. If a track wants to have reserved and general admission seating..manage it and offer it.

I prevented a fight at LPS during midget week. There was a bag for a chair blowing in between the rows (left to right) when we got there. We picked it up n laid it on bleachers so no one would trip on it . Some gentleman came along later n sat down in front of us. Well about 1/2 hr later here comes Mr. Drunk stupid and full of bad Attitude to inform this guy that he's everything but a white man for "moving" his bag. Fortunately I was there to tell captain dumbass thAt his bag blew away and I picked it up. I told him he owed the other guy an apology.... He didn't

This type of thing will turn off potential new fans right quick. Reserved seating is not something were used to in this sport but I for one think it's time has come.
I used to mark off a seat real early, head for the pits & infield, shoot hot laps & qualifying then head to the stands, I usually do not even bother going up to the stands anymore, to much of the aforementioned BS going on.
The pit bleachers are much more user friendly but out of reach to most and we cannot have everyone sitting there.
To my way of thinking everything possible needs to be done to enhance the new or casual fans experience. What to do about the dumb a.. drunks I do not know.

I've seen this in pits at Waynesfield most people wasn't with teams or anything they just wanted to watch for pit so the teams have to scramble and find where to sit or stand to see how there car is doing in the race. there should be no reserving in the pits that's just plain wrong.

I was at Macon. I did not put down a blanket, and had no problem finding a seat. I even moved to 3 different sections to get different views.
