Here is something about this show that I am not 100% positive, but I am 99.9% sure.

In the entire history of Bloomington Speedway, there has never been a wing "AND" a non wing sprint car race together on the same night, that my old memory can bring up.

So that would make it a somewhat historic event. Also, for all of the haters of either wing or non wing, you get 'em both on the same track for comparison!

How can that be a bad thing?

I think we may have run nonwing sprints with the NST winged sprints at Bloomington. I remember both types of sprints there on the same night.

Seems much ado about nothing, tempest in a teapot. Oops, ran out of cliches!

Sandy, as usual you are right! Just did a little research and even found a DVD for sale of that night for 10 bucks, and it features both wing and non wing, plus the Bob & Steve salute laps!

I was there because I remember Larry Crane playing in the shelter house before the races, but my feeble old mind didn't remember both wing and non wing on that night.

Thanks for the correction, glad I was only 99.9% sure, left ma'self a little wiggle room there.

You have the best of both worlds. Do I prefer non wing? Absolutely. Do I disklike winged sprints? Absolutely not. Unfortunately I have a prior committment which would prevent me from getting there until about 9 so unfortunately I'll have to pass.

I went to the TSS MOWA race last year and really enjoyed it. I will be back there this Saturday with a couple of guests. I would like to do Bloomington too, but can't make it.

Was just told the Fox Brothers 53 will be at Bloomington Friday night with Critter Malone at the wheel.

I think the turn out is going to surprise some people, and the number doing double duty is growing too.
