Houston nailed a spun Gardner, I'm sure from the looks of Houston's car it is junk also, Cody is pretty lucky it wasn't worse.
Jamie Davis went for a wild ride as he went over Daughterty's rr going down the backstretch & ended up getting some big air & ending up in turn 4.
Luke Hall was running 2nd when he & Mike Miller caught the back markers of Mark Silva & Rob Guy, as they were entering turn 1 Guy tried a little to hard to get inside Silva & as he bumped Silva Guy spun & tried to keep going. Luke caught Guy's #43g sprinter & rolled the #9n ending his night.
3rd was Mike Brecht, 4th went to Steve Irwin & rouding out the top 5 was Kent Wolters.

Im not going to lie, The racing was good and I had a good time eventually. Hope Cody is ok and everyone else that were in some nasty tumbles.
Thought it was way cool that Mike Miller Won and Millers Wife won the feature start in the Hewitt two seater. Might be the first Husband and Wife to ever finish on opposite ends of a feature. She was stoked and In victory lane before Mike was!
Dallas Hewitt was flying, But showed his cards to Miller by running the extreme high line to catch him. Once Miller seen he was up there, thats where Miller went. Dallas ran him back down but traffic in the last couple laps prevented any major attempt to take the lead away. Brecht ran strong and grabbed third about four laps from the end from a strong running and heat winner Steve Irwin. Luke Hall was also flying but caught a spinning car off of two which ended his night
The track was better at the end of the night than in heats. Mostly on the cushion feature but the heats were a skating rink Which leads to what had me pissed off half the night.
Whats with the judgment calls and how are they made? THIS IMHO was total BS. Fischesser drove his ass off to get third and on one of the restarts the leader took off and the two cars in front of him got all crossed up nailing the gas when the track was slick. Docked two positions, Out of feature. Of course he won the consi, but it cost him lots of money to run a extra race plus start several positions behind where he'd of started. I was thinking more about that call than watching the third and fourth heat.
It worked in my favor though in the other consi as Adam Cruea was the benefactor of a call that took someone else out of the feature. There were also two other judgement calls in the sprint heats The one Peterbuilt car was one
Didn't mean it to be a B Fest, had a good time overall. Just a fan coming from two hours away who don't appreciated when cars Im a fan of get screwed by calls on stuff that wasn't blatant. Fischesser is probably the cleanest racer in the state.
The other thing Id change if you want people to travel to your track is run the Premier division first. Last night wasn't bad, Feature done at 1030 but the first feature pushed off at 9:30. Only reason I can see is to give fans a chance to visit the pits while the teams are still there.
Had a good time, Racing was good, BUT JUDGMENT CALLS SUCK! If there isn't a cone on restarts and the leader takes off, Its not a jump.

Mike Miller is a great guy and a racer improving his craft each week whether local tracks or with BOSS. This win was a popular one and couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Well done, Mike!

Last night was the first time I've been to The Field this year, I thought the race was real good. I agree about the Fischesser deal- the guy in front of him tried to jump the start and got crossed up. Fischesser had 3 choices- run over him, slow down and get run over, or go around him. I didn't see what Dunlap did to constitute a penelty either.
I wouldn't say I was mad about the calls, but I also wondered exactly what the definition of a jumped start was without a cone.

Cody is sore and the ankle is tender. Provided the motor is ok, he is going to put another car together and finish out the season at Waynesfield. I spoke with Jamie Davis earlier this morning. Jamie is sore, has a concussion, lots of bumps and bruises, blood shot eyes but will recover.

There isnt any judgement in the call. The rule is, "If any part of your car is next to the car in front of you at the flagstand, you are charged with jumping.". Docked two positions on restart or end of race. It is mentioned every week in the drivers meeting. The cone was removed from the front stretch at drivers request to prevent bottlenecks and give them a way out if car in front doesn't go on start. There were several cars that broke this rule and were penalized for it. The only jumping incident with the peterbilt car was corrected before the restart. He wasn't penalized for any rule infraction.

So not wrecking someone penalizes you out of the feature? Sounds Legit!

False, passing a car before the flagstand for any reason docks you two positions. Is it a shame that he is screwed by the driver in front of him? Absolutely. But its not me in the car. You assume if he slows up there will be a bunch of "tore up equipment". If we make judgement calls to wonder if the car does or does not fire on restart how do we make that call and be unbiased? As its written now, he broke a rule and was penalized. Not penalizing him would be the WRONG thing to do. We always listen to suggestions and if there is a better way that is black and white and no judgement.....I'm all for it.

I say provided they all are nose to tail once the green is displayed everyone should be fair game then.
Ancient wise man say man who get into race for free never see bad race.
