Glad to hear that. He took a nasty ride for sure. I was glad to see that the car & rollcage held up very well. I would imagine that he is very sore today. The medical personnel took their time getting him out of the car and loading him into the ambulance for transport to the local hospital.

I noticed that the crowd was very subdued during this time, quite and very respectful. Also, I have to thank Danny Williams, PA announcer at Gas City, for going totally off of the air during this time. So many track announcers seem to think this is a great time to hawk the sponsors products or play music or even worse, small talk and joking around.

We were just talking about Jarett and how he seems to be getting better with every race. Wish the young man nothing but the best. Hope to see him out during sprint week.

A really good night of racing at the Gasser. The track was excellent and they didn't have to do anything to it other than pack the cushion.

I was very surprised with the sprint car count. 30 sprinters checked in and raced last night. I thought with the big show at Bloomington that maybe it would be 18-20 cars only. You just can't predict who will show up where anymore.

They ran a timely show and even with 3 reds for flips in the heats we were still on the road by 10:30 PM.

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante

I just wish start time was half an hour later. Those of us who work have a hard time getting from Indy to Gas City before quals start.

As Travis Tritt sang,"Lord have mercy on a workin' man".

I never would have imagined having 30 cars Friday night..I was thinking more on the lines of 18ish..but you never know who is going to come in those gates..but I hadn't heard of a few of those guys that were there..but it was a good show and kept it moving along pretty well..Glad to hear Jarrett is doing good..it was very nasty..Westerfeld put on a great run in the feature..and Richard Vanderweerd..He is going to be tough for sprint week this year! Hope everyone has a great week..see ya Friday.
