The James Dean Museum is at Fairmount about 25 miles east of Kokomo. He was born and buried there. Maybe somebody has been there before that can tell us if it's worthwhile. I've never been but plan on going just for the heck of it.

Well, just checked out Fairmount on TripAdvisor and at the James Dean Gallery a private collector has the world's largest James Dean paraphanalia collection in a restored Victorian house that the reviewers all raved about. A couple other sights are in town -- cemetary where Dean is buried, some shop where Dean hung out, etc. -- so it sounds like fun if you like Dean and want to kill some time.

Any info on ticket cost? I see the regular show prices on the websites but nothing for Sprint week. Can anyone help with that. even last years prices for pits and regular seats would help.

Last years general admission was $25...can't remember for sure but pit passes were either $30 or $35 dollars.

We played the golf course, Salt Creek after Indy this past Monday. Super close to Bloomington and it was great. Brown County state park is a nice place as well

Thanks guys for the distance info...never been to either track. I had a brief stop in Gettysburg back in 06 on the way to Hagerstown...seemed like a neat place and thought it would be nice to spend the day there on Monday. I heard good things about Port Royal (wet and a racy little joint) from HAR at the USAC show last year. I also heard that Susky was "wet and racey" when the CRA tour stopped there back in 1990 or 91 and Lealand McSpadden won...hopefully it will be that way this year.
