With these kind of car counts, will USAC be back to Richmond next year? Good question for Kevin Miller when he's on Wind Tunnel this Sunday to discuss the future of USAC with Robin Miller.

Wonder if car count would have been higher if they'd pay tow money? Of course, who needs tow money. At least five more cars could have made the show if they had just shown up. But, of the 15 teams that were there, how many covered their expenses? I'll bet no more than three or four.

I'm guessing that none of the sprint car teams covered their expenses. Tow to Richmond, 2 nights in a hotel(2 or 3 rooms), food, race car expenses(2 sets of tires - it was a 60 lap race, and fuel at 3.50/gal - probably 50 gallons for the weekend).

OK, maybe Hoffmans/Coons covered expenses, but I doubt that anyone else did...:thumbsdown:

Yes, it was two 30 lap segments. I think that's the normal spriint feature at Richmond, at least every time I've gone.
