Like usual, once Jon Grabbed the lead, first place was no longer in question. Ripping a steak bone from the jaws of a pit bull would have been easier. The second place battle between Hunter and Kyle was a real good one. And so was watching Jesse Hockett's version of alphabet soup. His charging from the back of the C, to a top 5 in the A, made up many of tonight's highlights. Keith Ford and his staff, along with a stout field, provided a great evening of racing, for those in attendance, tonight.

Also worth mentioning, as we were leaving and the crowd was migrating down the hill, on the top half there was a motorcyclist who had to move at a very slow pace to keep from running into any people on foot. When he came to a stop, he toppled, with his right leg pinned under the bike. Immediately, a guy ran over and helped him stand the bike up. That guy was none other than Robert Ballou, who was in the Paragon stands as a race fan, tonight.

Jon did indeed check out on the rest of the field. A good group of sprint cars this evening and a big round of :applaud: for Keith Ford and the Paragon Speedway staff. The track was the best I have personally seen it in many years. I don't make this trip very often but tonight it was in great shape.

I was rather surprised by the crowd, or should I say lack of. Normally the KISS race fills the place and this evening it wasn't even close. Maybe the iffy weather forecast kept some people away, or high gas prices, or other entertainment options. I ran into AERO this evening and I also spoke with Jerry Shaw as well. I am sure there were other IOW members in attendance but I didn't see them.

A good night of racing and congratulations to Jon Stanbrough on his 2008 KISS Championship.:respect::checkered:

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
