Against my son's advice to just let it go, I would like to address the person that has decided to get on a public racing website and blaspheme my son.
First, I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone that has and continues to help Kevin Jr with support at the track and with sincere niceness.

I asked Kevin what was said to the person at Kokomo last weekend when he received the fuel jug and funnel. He did tell the lady that they didn't get his fuel jugs, then smiled (not smirked) and went back to his pit. Maybe at 16, he didn't handle the situation perfectly politically correct, but I can tell you that when he got back to the trailer, he was pretty excited that some stranger would even do that for him. He also said to me this week that he just has a hard time asking or taking anything from anybody, and that he surely didn't mean to offend anyone.

Now on to reffering to my son as a "RICH PUNK". It's true, you obviously don't know Kevin Jr. at all. Because if you did, you would know that he is farrrrrrrrr from rich, and definitely not a punk. This pretty much insults our whole family from the standpoint that we would rear our children to be disrespectful to others. This coulnd't be further from the truth, as if it were, my son would not have a race car or anything else for that matter. This is one of our pet peeves from a personal standpoint, and I can assure you that he is one of the most respectful young men you will ever meet. Maybe there's an idea, you should meet him then post what you know, instead of what you think you know.

As for the rich part, Kevin Jr started his own lawn care service to make his own money to be able to race this season. He did this because we didn't have what you assume we have in our bank account to chase his dream, so he became pro active on the situation to help the cause. He works for everything he gets. Every day he is the only person that prepares his car for the week, (with some guidance from "Uncle Bernie"), not his crew members (there are none). He loads the trailer himself, pulls it to the track himself, and sometimes races it himself with a little help from alot of nice people in the pits. Not what I would define as a "RICH PUNK". And to say you lost all respect for Kevin Jr. is really sad because you decided to do so without understanding the innocent mindset of a 16 year old kid from Alabama that is used to working his tail off to get anything, and is not used to the kindness of the person that offered the fuel jug and funnel, and didn't handle that situation like a veteran politician.

Thanks for letting me tell you about the REAL KEVIN THOMAS, JR.

P.S. Prime Example. I told him not to go to Kokomo tonight because money was low, but he hitched a ride with a buddy just so he could apologize to the lady at the ticket booth.

Thanks,

Kevin Thomas, Sr.
