if i recall hopton did put pumps in when the whole turn fell in , Brian Hayden might know for sure , he did the driving school when Bill had the track

You are correct, Bill did put pumps in. But in order to get a water table down you have to go at least 10 to 15 feet below the aquafer that you want to dry up. Bill dug a little hole and dropped in some small pumps. It did slow the water, but did not solve the problem.

Drilling wells and large pumps would have been costly but effective. He felt it was not worth it.

And by the way, Brian was my driving instructor when I did the Sprintcar deal. He was good, but not near as good when the Farrar's did the deal and KT was the instructor on my first go round.
