I am and have always been for later start times. Unfortunately, there's too many wusses out there that will complain about going past 10:30 if it does. A couple years ago THAT was starting later to water the track more but didn't advertise they were starting later so people were pissed but it was the best tracks I've seen there in many years, much better than the current guys there. In the old non-wing days at Knoxville they didn't start till the sun was low enough in the sky no matter the time, track was awesome, and yes it went a little late and I was only five years old but was having the time of my life. We certainly NEVER complained about leaving at midnight and having to drive 2 1/2 hours home! Grant it, there were no support classes back then either. Indiana is screwed with the DST and multitude of support classes but I still think they could get away with hot laps at 7 instead of 6. Kudos to P-ville for doing it. The bad part for the promoter is that now people have time to eat dinner before hand instead of at their concession stand. The benefit has to outweigh this though.
