Mike Padfield called me a bit ago with this horrible news. I've yet to hear anyone say anything negative about Marv. Opinionated, yes, but always in a friendly way.
I love, admire and respect the man and pray that he overcomes this setback.
I talked with Marv Tuesday night, I was going to take him to the Prelude, But he could'nt go because he had to be at doctors from 10am until 2pm doing tests...I heard he came home and was cutting grass and a neighbor kids saw him collapse and from what i hear the emts were on hand almost immediately. All of us at his second home "Lawrenceburg Speedway" are praying for him and his wonderful wife Judy!!
just logged on and saw this awfull post. My heart just about stopped when i read the news ! met marv a few years ago and loved talking to him and his side kicks in the pits. He was one of the people i wanted to see when i returned from florida and we had a great talk last Sat night at the burg. I am praying for him and his family and will continue with the hope of a recovery and seeing him back enjoying the sport he so loves. God bless him and his wife at this time.
