Seriously? I guess today is another day of babysitting emotions.

It's probably the comment "smiles instead of frowns" that started the whole "overly sensitive" issue and that comment probably accomplished exactly what it was intended to do. Send a few folks into spin cycle.

Are some of the members on this board overly sensitive at times... YES!

Do some of the members try to make people overly sensitive... YES!

How can I fix that... I can't.

C'mon fellas. Quit wearing the tight panties and move on.

the racing is great at both tracks,I prefer TSS for several reasons...... location(I live 3.5 hrs closer to TSS),I can carry in food and beverage if want and the reserve seats are just way more comfortable.thats just my opinion and I will not be upset if everyone doesnt agree with me.

I attended TSS and just watched video of the Kokomo main. Both shows were worth the money and time.

I hope everyone enjoyed whichever track(s) they picked this weekend.

With racing Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Memorial weekend in Indiana is truly something special!

Race fans across the USA, maybe around the world, would love to have our troubles here in Indiana...a CHOICE of race tracks to go to on a "SUNDAY" night, Good God! For myself, i made it back across Georgetown Road to my Speedway mansion and passed out under a lawn sprinkler till i rehydrated. My suggestion to those in doubt, clone yourself and go to both, you won't be disapointed at either track. THANKS to all the brave track owners and promoters out there for giving us this dilemma, and thanks to Bill Gardner for being the funniest guy on here, see you at the races, bob

Hey Bill Gardner, I will repeat again...I don't post in this forum any longer (save for informational posts) because it is a haven for the uninformed to attack those of us actually working IN the industry. It's a waste of time and completely counterproductive. However, when I simply offer an opinion, and YOU allow someone to disparage me for simply responding to the question posed, YOU condone this behavior.

I've spent 29 years covering this sport and have outlasted ALL my colleagues to become the "old guard". There are so few of us professional auto racing videographers left in this sport, and that is because there is not any real money in what we do. We aren't getting rich here. But, I keep trudging on because of the love of the sport. And, when I get some hilljack from Southern Indiana coming against me simply for offering a harmless opinion, I won't stand idly by, I will address the man head on. Sorry, but I don't need you to handle my business for me, I can handle myself against any and all detractors with the greatest of ease. That includes retired yard utility salesman that are oblivious to being the blight of their family's good name.

BTW, for the record, I saw the race at Haubstadt on Jackslash.com and it was fantastic with a stellar field. Tri-State Speedway can and does put on great racing. That someone took umbrage with me for stating that I was choosing Kokomo over Haubstadt (and why) is just plain ridiculous.

PS - Bill, in terms of your underwear reference, I'm going commando here.

Great post. Try living in Wisconsin, you would be complaining that you have no where to go.

Come on Tim, you might not have a choice of sprint car tracks to go to, but in the winter, us Hoosiers don't get to enjoy all those snowmobile races either. Look on the bright side. And for others who are suppose to be enjoying this site, stop taking yourselves so seriously. This site, THANKS to Bill Gardner, has been a godsend with the lose of Speed Sport News, it's the only thing keeping all of us race fans in the loop. It is NOT meant for all of your little p*ssing contests. Everyone has opinions, and i think Bill will agree with me that they all have a place here, but when you add in the snipes is when you open yourself for criticism and abuse. Everyone just take a deep breath and get back to the thought of how much we all enjoy this sport, and don't tick off DAD (Bill), he'll pull this car over and whip all yur butts! bob

We did have one good snowmobile race here at our fairgrounds in February for a lot of years but it is over. Ice oval racing isn't as popular as it once was and they only had a snow cross competition this year. To top it off i'm not a sled guy either.
