What I'm talking about is the bar that sticks up about 4 inchs off the top of the cage with no support at all. I do agree with you about the big hole in the top but it's 1 of those things darned if you do and darned if don't. And about the arm guards i'm guilty of inventing that after getting my elbow broken with a rock at Lakeside speedway in Kansas City KS. in 1978.

That reminds me of an old folk saying "A thorn of experience is worth a wilderness of warning" WE usually wait for something to happen before we address our problems. We just need to apply that rock stinging you in the arm techonology to that big hole in the roof.
