What a great night! The weather turned out good, the track was good, the competition was excellent. I brought my stepdad to the track for the first time and now he is an instant fan. I saw Bud Kaeding in the infield last night. He said he hated watching, but didn't have a ride. I agree with everyone, the pits in the infield is cool. It was great to see Jon Stanbrough standing on his car to watch hot laps with the grandstand in the background. It made for a classic picture.

Outstanding night at Terre Haute. The infield pits already have proved there worth. When I ran MSCS I tried management at that time to do this , but it fell on deaf ears. One example of the value, I was standing at the fence with Eric Burns. Two of his children were standing on a barrel and hanging on the pit fence watching the quarter midgets race. A crew member from the # 1h sprint car came over and gave the two children T-shirts. Great move and just watch THAT grow with this kind of involvement. Terre Haute can be proud again of the Action Track.

I saw a kid walk up to Hockett's pit with a football. Jessie was working and saw the boy. Opened his arms and the boy tossed the ball and Jessie played catch a few times. Behind the Truckers Pit 3 boys climbed on top of the fence and watched the team work. Racing and THAT made a lot of new fans tonight.
The grandstand crowd was large except where SHortBus was. But a great crowd. Yea the racing was pretty good too !
Lots of radio adds on WIBC today as well.

Congrats to everybody who made it happen at THAT tonight. They did a great job and put on a show.

The boy with the football was my 7 year old son, Dane. I told him Hocket's nickname and told him to say hi to "The Rocket". Jesse put his wrench down, stopped what he was doing, and opened his arms for a pass. Pretty damn cool. Had to laugh when he was getting Hagen's autograph after the race. My son asked him, "why did you want to finish 3rd?" Can't remember what Darren said but he got a chuckle out of it. He had a helluva drive and so did Kuhn. Great night all around.

I could not be happier that my buddy called me at noon yesterday and talked me into skipping out of work to go. A+ to the entire DHK staff.

What about the racing last night!!!!! Holy cow. I cant believe no one has mentioned Claytons run from the back of the B for the last transfer. My buddy said to me right then we could leave and the trip would have been worth it just seeing that. Great job Levi and very happy to see Brad come back to the front, who knows if he had not lost a cylinder those last 4 or 5 laps he may have just won the whole thing.
It's amazing what a good set of shocks will do for a racecar isn't it?
Good thing he got those changed before the feature, Great race for
Daron looking forward to Haubstadt on Sunday now all we need is a
clear skyfor a few days.

Was great to back at the Action Track again last night!

Clayton was his usual self of course. I figured he could get up to the front but I didn't think he'd do it that quick!:Steer

Awesome job by the Benic team!
