Bill Rose is a really smart race car driver and for most of this race, because Dave D was so committed to running the top, he was able to do a great job of being where he had to be, to keep Dave from getting a lot of momentum built up and really taking off. All the while, Josh Clemmons was doing what Josh Clemmons always does. Driving tough, battling hard and showing again that he has a lot more talent than he has money to race with. All the while, the three of them had been caught by the two-time National Driver of the Year. And it just had a feeling those three were being loomed over. They were all in big trouble and there was very little they could do to postpone the inevitable. Like Al said, Clemmons made his best effort to prevent Jon from getting around him and was the most difficult to pass. After that pass was made, there was still hope for a good, old fashioned Stanbrough-Darland duel to the finish. But, Jon made surprisingly quick work of Rose and Darland both, went down to the front desk and just checked out. It was really quite impressive. So much so, that you then focused on what was going on, back through the field. And as luck would have it, for the race fans in attendance, there was another impressive effort unfolding at that time. Bryan Clauson was just flying and tearing a path through the field. He was passing a car or two every lap and, like Stanbrough, was just making his car go wherever he wanted it to. He took Rose's third spot away from him coming off turn four, at the checker and another lap or so and DD would have been in serious trouble. It was another great night at the track. Perfect weather. Huge crowd. Beautifully prepared track. A power packed field. And another great night of racing action. Great job by Joe and all his people.

The moment you think Jon Stanbrough can't beat you. Is the moment he does. Handily! Congrats!
Also a great run by Clauson, Coming from 12th?? or 14th to third. Most of those in the last ten laps where he was launching of the turns and grabbing 3rd on the final two corners.
The only thing that disappointed me last night was that Chad Boespflug didn't transfer out of the B-Main. I don't know exactly what happened to him in his heat, but he started way back in the B and it was just a blast to watch him come all the way through the field and almost transfer. Whatever it was he was missing early, he found it and he would have definitely added something to the feature.
Oh yeah, it also would have been great if the track had interviewed Stanbrough after his win.
