Jimmy Owens posted that only 22 cars were at the race in TN

Greg Johnson hit a rut in turn2, and jumped 3foot in the air while changing a whole lane in the air. 2 or 3 laps later his engine blew. You could hear it snap.
.
There was that #8 late model and he had the #8 mod also, he just about flipped both cars. In the mod heats the #8 had Joey Krammer on his tail and was gassing it so hard he ripped the RR tire right off the rim.
.
With only 1 lap in the late model feature, the #16 spun up front, coming out of 2 and took out about a dozen cars.
.
Only 9 cars restarted after the lap 19 caution. It was like watching a 31 lap heat race.
.
Worst part - $33 pitpass

Yeah the Wreck with the 16 and Scott James almost sealed the fate of that race. If Lanigan hadn't of broke? Who knows? Billy Pierce was kinda impressive for not much experience and the Conley boys are coming along.

I was at Voluica Co. the last night of speedweeks and Bobby Pierce won. Oneil led a bunch and Ferger a couple up on the cushion, but Pierce just kept it on the pole and by the end had em covered.
.
They ran Big Block Mods also. I hate mufflers! Mufflers take so much away from the whole experience. The mods did run 50 laps and i didn't see any of em touch.
.
I was looking foward to watching Josh McQuire come from back in the pack. That 1 wreck took just about all the good cars out. I guess Florence regulars don't care to much for McQuire, there was a chant going on in the backstrech grandstands "F McQuire, F McQuire" I can say, I NEVER have heard that at a sprint car track. Now McQuire did slide up into O'neil during their heat race, mabey that set the crazies off.
.
Pit pass for $5000 to win - $33. That was total BS. $30 is already a knife in the back, and the $3 extra just twisted that knife!

When Oneal sees a track like that ya know he just grits his teeth and says let me at it, haha. He is the master of tacky/rough tracks.

That or he had dibs on some superior suspension. While most were bouncing, He rolled right over it. I see this in Sprints a lot as well. Some cars are just flat smooth and others are bouncing around. If you can't put the power to the ground as often as possible. Your going backward.

You can say its suspension all day long, and I'm sure it helps. But Don Oneal is a wheelman, and when it's time to cowboy up he has always been the one to get it done, no matter what suspension he had.
