Well you dont have to be ignorant to not know what a lightning sprint is. I have one and didnt even know it.
This series sounds great and I'm praying I can make it. Nobody up here would have any idea what a lightning sprint is, but I like the name and I hope it sticks, cause I hate telling people I have a minisprint. They assume it's a toy or something.

All in which have changed their name for MINI to Lightning...why...seems as if the 600's have taken the term mini with them then the 250/270 would be micro so to not confuse and become a more ideal name someone coined the name Lightning. To me that fits the cars or Az. has modified midgets, but then again this can be confusing. The term MINI is what I do not like cause when the general public hears the word mini sprint that is just what the hear MINI and there are nothing MINI about these cars other then size...Hopefully in the near future Bill May (Midwest Mini Sprint Association) and Jerry Tague (American Mini Sprint Association) and Wisconsin Mini-Sprint Assn. will follow suit. They have been around awhile but are about the only ones left as far as calling themselves Mini Sprint when it come to 1000/1200 uprights.....Hope to bring EVERYBODY together and see ...WHO IS THE BEST DRIVER IN THE NATION come Feb. in Florida!!!

We visited the track on our Florida Winter Vacation back in February before heading up to Ocala (Bubba Raceway) for the USAC Show on the Saturday night, it just the other side of the cross roads.
We only caught the afternoon races but the track sure looked a lot of fun. I have attached a photo of the track from Feb 2011.
Sure who ever makes the trip there will enjoy there racing.
Sadly we are not able to come over for Florida 2012 and will be stuck in cold, wet Britain. But so far the saving for Eastern Storm 2012 Vacation is going very well.
