You people have gotten too spoiled, use to if you wanted event info to a race you didn't attend you either A) called someone you knew the next day (which could be expensive in the pre-cell phones connect the world days) or B) you waited untill the end of the following week for NSSN. I for one do not understand people's need for INSTANT information about races in progress, just be patient and wait untill after the event is over and get all the info at once..... and you're right, it's the information highway, not the TELL ME RIGHT NOW OR ELSE highway......

Nice post. I don't facebook, i don't twitter, doesn't bother me to find out who won a certain race the next day after. I realize how big racing is as a hobby for people in the Indiana area. It's a hobby for me also but it isn't always on the top of the list. Real time results isn't a big deal to me, even if they are available i will wait to check results the next day.

I would rather see USAC use their resources to work the show for the fans and racers that are there. If I am not there I can wait to find out the results.

It is not about the results of the races to me. I too can wait till the next day. My thing is USAC sucks at promoting their product. The WoO kick their butt in marketing and promotion. It is a shame that USAC has a better product but does not promote or market their product.

Kevin Miller was hired to promote and market. I have seen very little of it.
All he is done is create more sanctions of racing to run under their banner. What do they really bring? License money and that is it.

I will just go out and say that Kevin Miller needs to go if you want USAC to be a player. You can watch any WoO race on the net if you want. Kevin has had many years to accomplish the same thing. What has he done but collect a check? You need to get a new job Kevin because you have failed USAC and their fans. If you want new fans you need to promote and market to them. You have done very little in that Dept. For all the sanction money you charge promoters for a race you bring very little to the event except a T shirt trailer. The drivers will race with or with out your sanctioning. If you want to be a player... Mr. Miller needs to step up his game. The Diehards will always show up but where is your future. The Hoosier 100 has an average fan age of like 55 to 60. They will not be around for ever.

Thank you for your interest
I believe some would respectfully disagree with that. I believe some would cite historical evidence comparing the course of action taken by groups ranging from 600 racing to NASCAR as proof of a far inferior product being marketed in a far superior fashion. And I believe that the relative current market positions of the above 3 groups would support these arguments.

The World of Ouylaws post updates at an average of 35-40 per hour!!!! Not all are updates, some are history, some are upcoming events, ect...They give you updates during the feature at a rate of about 15 for a 30 lap event. Do the WOO ever race for less than $10,000 to win-$800 to start, with how many huge money races a year? Does the WOO play in front of mostly capacity crowds??

To some folks, racing is a product.... to others it's a way of life. I wouldn't go so far to say 600 racing and NASCAR are inferior to any form of racing, just different. USAC is a non-profit organization, so the market position discussion is irrelevant. Great racers need no pimps.

As for the Hoosier Hundred and the marketing thing..... I sat with my mom and my 10 year old daughter. We didn't go because some fancy poster, radio ad, etc, gave us the idea. Race fans know where to find the races and they pass that knowledge on. USAC has no need to buy new race fans, we breed them!

Wow Stagger, Tell us how you really feel. Didn't you hate USAC before KM?

Do you know the inside dealings going on or are you a expert. I seen the making of making USAC a lifelong name for hundreds of potential .25 racers

I also see the potential of hooking up with Monster Energy Supercross and traxxis both on the promotion and name recognition.

I do know one thing, Making USAC at Ten grand to win 600 to start series and making the ticket price 45 dollars is gonna cut about half my USAC event attendance. SLight increase in gate price a couple grand through the pack more. I could handle but its exactly the mentions of WOO OPERATIONS AND COST THAT KEEP ME FROM GOING ANYMORE
