...and unless it's wangs, don't count on Steve Kinser even if it's a Mil to win. He's got a points championship to win with the Woooooo...

I was at Eldora for both "million races" and the non wing sprinters were by far the best show.

What we remember most about the late model million is that Jack Hewitt was leading the second heat race with just a handful of laps to go and the engine let go. Couldn't believe it. No one was within 8 to 10 car lengths of him when it came apart. If he had went on to win it he'd have started on the inside of the third row in the 100 lapper.

Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.

Thanks for posting that richie, sure was great to watch it again after being there. Another big non wing paying show would be cool and i would be there for sure. I always liked the Big One, just needed to be run at a different time and not right before the Knoxville Nats. Also, why hasn't the Eldora booster club ever surfaced again?

1st. Jac Haudenschild 200,000
2nd. Stevie Smith in his first Wingless race. 150.000
3rd Dickie Gaines. In HAR 69 second car. 100,000

It was a awesome show but not nearly as well attended as a KR or world 100.

Hell lets just have a full season of 50 thou races vs one show. You could split it up among WOO, LMS and NW, Have a sell out every show and a hundred of the class in every show.

What was great about the Mopar Million is it was 10g to start.
