Makes me ill just watching the natives eat them..on a cold night steam comes off the nuts, uh the peanuts... I read somewhere that eating peanuts at a racetrack was once considered bad luck. Citrus is a neat little track. They run a fast program. Start at 530, over by 930. $9 for seniors. They even have a bomber driver named Walls. TBARA (winged 360 sprinters) used to open the season but not this year. I think they are about on the ropes.

My name is not cmakin but... http://www.usmts.com/

Texas all the way north to Minnesota... Our mod team is planning on running some of the races this year. I believe it is the highest paying dirt modified series in the country. You must race American Racer tires, they don't allow Hoosiers.

The Dirt KNights show on VERSUS is all USMTS... it's a pretty good show. Sundays 6pm http://www.dirtknights.com/

As Bill stated, the USMTS is a touring modified series (similar to UMP/IMCA). They do a great job in putting on a show. I consider the quality of the series and racing to be on a par with what USAC can put out.

All of the tracks noted so far this year are in southeast Texas, in and around the Houston area.

You, sir, are the man. I've been through Bedford, KY a few times. You have a nice little drive to even the closest race, I'd guess.
