40 years our family has been sitting in turn 4 in lawn chairs. the guy with the horn (who has passed on) and our little family tradition at eldora. i buy 5 sections for the 1/2 crowns and we can't even fit every one in that wants to sit there. they don't even consider the 4 crowns a major event on their schedule. now they want over $600.00 for lawn chair spots? Then want me to sell their tickets and commit to what is becoming a dwindling crowd with my friends because of their failure to produce anything other than sand for a dirt track. seems over the years when i talk someone into coming back something like last years usac opener happens. NO Thanks eldora. all things change and pass. i think if i do come back i'll just buy a ticket and sit mostly where i want.

I've never been to Eldora, but can someone tell me the benefits of reserved seating there? Better sight lines, better access to concessions? Haubstadt has reserved seats, and I sit there every time we go. For an extra $3, I get a seat with a better sight angle, a back rest and more leg room. It is well worth it to me.

I sit in section F because it is close to the restrooms, concession stand and on a cold night it is the warmest seats in the place.

The only advantages I can think of are the reserved seats are warmer on a cool spring or fall night when the wind is out of the west. The PA is also better heard in the reserved area. Beyond that, I see no benefit to the extra money.
As for TSS, I agree with the sight line, so I usually sit just in front of you on the backstretch, but still choose not to spend the extra bucks!
