Good race between Stanbrough and Windom. Stanbrough manuevered through the lapped traffic just a little better than Windom did, and that was the difference. Thought Windom was going to get him back with a few laps to go coming out of four, but he got caught behind another lapper and Stanbrough took off for good. Congrats to Jon Stanbrough!
So sorry. How could I have missed a bright yellow car. Thanks.

Since they moved this race from Tuesday night to Wednesday, how was the crowd? I hope that they can continue to build on this series and make it become an event everyone wants to attend.

I thought they had a good crowd, especially for an event run in the middle of the week and for which the date had been changed. I didn't see any large areas which were empty, except perhaps for those in the very front. I thought it was about as large as any time I went there last year. I agree. Hope Illinois Sprint Week becomes a "go to" event and that Danville is part of it.

Thanks Joe. I just love this stuff. Especially races like last night, that have a developing story and a lot of drama at the end. That kind of race just gets imprinted on my brain and there's no way I'm getting any sleep, unless I come back, log onto IOW and deprogram by sharing with all the other people that do the same for me, for races that I can't make it to. Or for those that upload pictures. Or video tape.

Also, it helps the whole race experience if you're watching the race with some people that really know what's going on. Last night, I got to watch the racing action with Frank Daigh, Steve Wendel and Richie Murray, all who fit into that category and each I probably would have never met, had it not been for this website. IOW is the best!!
