dont assume anything negative about what was up with casey....the cops sometimes accompany the inspectors, especially at a big show (free admission and donuts) they were probably just hanging around as the inspectors looked at cars.
In 2005 I shot a race in New Jersey. When a sprint car would flip, they would do an investigation, bring cruisers out on the track, and make quite the delay. I also remember at Bridgeport Speedway they had a "all people in the infield must wear white pants" rule. I am sure the locals could tell stories of all the regulations that go on there. This was a one car flip during the feature. It was a make up race ran during the day, as the November night time temps would have been too drastic to run during darkness.
