Mike,
I noticed that you had gone through the greetings and "thanked" us.
Well, THANK YOU. Those who have followed Andrew's journey have been given motivation to give our kids and grandchildren that extra hug. We also have seen an example of "Never give up" that should remind all of us that we must continue to hope and to pray when things seem darkest. Thanks again, Mike.

Just a little follow up about the little guy. My son and daughter-in-law filled his room with 44 balloons as he slept so when he woke up in the morning his room was bright and cheerful.
Also Steve, you again remind me about something that we all need to remember. My life changed on one phone call back in August 2007 and I won't soon forget that night. Being 5 hours away and virtually helpless to do anything but pray, I promised myself that I needed to spend more quality time with my kids and grandkids.
Steve, you are indeed correct when you say that we need to give them an extra hug and kiss and tell them constantly that we love them. Life is such a precious thing that we so often take for granted.
Mike

Happy birthday to the little guy. (Although, judging from the pic of him with the ballons, it appears that he's getting less little all the time.)
