They are suppose to repave Daytona in 2012.
I wonder what the top executives in Nascar make? Talk about some overpaid individuals.... My last straw was Indy in 08, glad I wasn't there. Yes, I watched Daytona when I woke up 3PM (3rd shift worker) and when I saw the red flag I was convinced for a minute that I had missed the big one, when it was told that they had to fix the track because of a pothole I had breakfast and turned the tv elsewhere. An hour later it was still red flagged, I thought maybe those state highway workers we see all summer are doing more than holding up a shovel. Then the second red flag occurred 38 laps later, I was on the phone calling Florida Dept of Highways seeing if they could help these guys out....

Ahh, haven't been a big NASCAR fan. Thought it was like Indy and someone else owned it and NASCAR ran there.
Did see that some racers didn't want the track repaved.

I love the comments about guys dirt tracking thru the corners but they red flag the race for a pot hole. Sure glad the olympics was on. The best drivers in the world can't race around a pot hole, well I can introduce you to atleast a 100 that do it every weekend. Hurry Spring hurray, ready to see some real racing!

I thought it worked out just fine, the Chilli Bowl was just getting started on SPEED, so I watched it, then went back to Nascar for the finish. Jammie McMurray won it, track is needing some attention tho, it has been a while. Bob
