Kudos for Scottie for coming out of his comfort zone tonight, and coming down to run with us. That is what true winners are made of. Ballou would have made a battle if he did not break.

Mister track expert, the turns neeeded some extra grooming after the heat races because of all the rain last night & this morning the dirt was clotting up in chunks in the turns. I guess you like to see accidents.

Lightning, ever hear of it? The reason it took so long for the lights to come back on is the bulbs have to cool before they will fire again. Higher quality bulbs will refire, but they are more costly. The delay was no big deal. I told my wife that now she has a story she can tell everyone at work.

Still the best surface in the country! I live 8 miles south of the track and over night we have about 2+ inches of rain. Most track would not have run tonight. Not the best racing I have seen here but as long as we raced it was good.

My first trip to Haubstadt this year...rough track, but still a very exciting and entertaining race. Tough luck for Ballou who tried the top with all his might...and Danny Williams, Jr. who had a crazy night! Congrats to Scotty Weir and thanks to all the TSS crew for giving this race fan an option after DuQuoin got cancelled!

I left the track 7 minutes after the checkers. I got on I64 to head towards Louisville and it was starting to rain. THAT'S cutting it close!

They got the show in with lightning shows to the east and south. Tommy caught a break! With all the rain they had earlier.... all but a very few would have called it off for the night. Helfrich did what he does best... worked the dirt and got all he could out of it. Yea track was a bit rough.... but the feature was still a good one!
