Unfortunately, there is still a high probability(90%) of rain/thunderstorms all afternoon into this evening according to wunderground.com. Hope they can get it in.

its overcast now we got a lot of rain early came down in buckets radar looks good but the heating of the day will produce more showers and storms according to the weather channel its only a 40 percent but all others say 90 percent chance who knows if i go i aint leaving till 6 o clock

These are all very profound statements but the race will not be called until you all arrive at the track and you've purchased the tickets.
If it can be done, Tommy will make it happen. I'd rather drive and get rained out than stay home and find out I missed the race of the year.

I was by the track at 11:30 this am they were working the track and hauling in dirt and gravel for mud holes in pits local radio says race is still on

Tommy is doing the track prep. Davy Hamilton has the promotional duties.
My point is: Davy won't cancel because he can't promote, he'll cancel because Tommy can't get the track into shape.
