I just heard a radio announcement on WTHI Radio that has adjusted the hot lap start time to 4:30pm. The ticket office opens at 3:00pm. The fan gates open at 4:00pm. There are three or four large gate entrances into the stands.
I was just at the track and there is some water in the tunnel, but they have three large pumps pumping the water out. Hopefully it will be cleared and usable by Saturday. If not, the earlier start will allow time for fan crossovers to the infield.
Having worked at the track for over 30 years, I am sure it will take a few laps to roll the track in during warming motors. The 4:30pm hot lap time is probably a more realistic time.

I've got to learn not to read until after the second cup of coffee. At first I thought I read that the track was "really rocky". With all the rain, the track should be ok, but I'm not sure what the late models will do to the track, especially with alot of laps being run under the sun.
