I spoke with Mr. Hammer a couple of days ago and he was telling me that they had their schedule for Illinois Sprint Week together before USAC Midget Week. Not bashingon USAC or anything just pointing out a fact

That could very well be true, but I started hearing that Midget Week was going to be moved to earlier in the year, before last season was even over. In Illinois Sprint Week, we're talking about an upstart series. One that could use all the help it could get. In order to give it every opportunity to be a success, until it gets going, I think waiting till most of the major schedules were out, wouldn't have been a bad idea. I'm an example of one of those fans that have been waiting for them to put something like ILSW together for a while. I would have went to every one of those events, but now because of the conflict with IMW, will only be able to attend one (VCS). I still think they will have good car counts for ILSW. They're just eliminating a lot of potential fans. Hopefully, next year it will be different.

All I know is that the Tri City press release for their night said "no qualifying."

Regarding the format, I got this reply back from Don Hammer:

"The format is up to the indivudual tracks. Danville will be qualifying and Granite City and Lincoln will be doing passing points. We are unsure as to what the other tracks will be doing."
