I can't see the logic of running a semi when there were only 19 cars. Why draw further attention to the short field by running an absurd B-main that eliminates no one? If they wanted to run an "extra" race for the fans, why not just take the top 3 out of each heat, give them their "times back", and run a 6 car dash?

You talk about the short field of cars! How bout the small crowd? Bout 250 fri. And 1200 t0 1500 sat! Its going to get worse! What a great pass by swindel last corner last lap!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And sammy almost pulled it off in the sprint main!

Would they get more cars if they ran it at a smaller track?

I wonder do you guys think half miles are too big for Sprints and Midgets that run without a wing. Supposedly the reason the outlaws went with wings is that too many cars were getting destroyed. A wing definitely softens a roll over (most of the time) by absorbing energy. Of course there have been drivers hurt with a wing but in the big picture guys seem to survive better. A wing makes a car more stable. Maybe I'm wrong but it's just a thought.

hell no! We have raced midgets and sprints on miles and 1/2miles paved and dirt since the 40s! Things happen at any size track! I've seen 3 die in midgets at the speed drome on a 1/5 mile flat track! And they also die in wing sprint cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just thought if they ran this at a smaller track they might get more cars, this has nothing to do with the tragedy. Guys that run for points like Badger can't take the chance to run 2 nights on a big track cause if they hurt a motor it could end the season for them.
